Sharing Layouts

Web

Downloading layouts :

Tap the “Search Online” button in the “Layout browser” panel to start a search among online layouts.

User submitted layouts are increasing as is the CCP user base, so if you can’t find what you want you can either wait or be the one to submit it.

Submitting Layouts :

To share one of your layouts with the CCP community you can tab the                  button in the “Layout

settings” panel. A panel will be shown asking for an Author name and a description, then a eMail will be created for you with the layout and informations you typed.

If your layout is not in english, please specify it in the layout name (ex : “My Layout Name [ITALIAN]” )

Please be sure to specify in the description if the layout requires custom key mapping or it’s using the default one for the application / game.

We will review submitted layouts before posting them online, but can’t check every key mapping and every application, so please respect others sharing info on how to use

NOTE : you can use the submit layouts feature to email you or your friends a layout. Just change the email recipient address once the email generated. You can then open the attached layout directly from the email application on iOs, or copy it to device trough the PC / Mac.

PC / Mac

Importing Layouts from your PC/Mac :

You can use emails to easily import layouts into CCP (attach a layout to an email and receive it from a iOS device, tapping the attachment will ask you to open it in CCP if you have it installed.

You can use iTunes file sharing, connect your device to a PC or Mac running iTunes, select the device in iTunes and reach the  “Apps” tab, scroll down to reach the “File Sharing” section of the window.

There you have to select CCP app and and drop the layouts you want to.

CCP application will detect this and place the newly added layouts into the “Imported” folder in the “Layout browser”.

Exporting layouts to your PC/Mac :

In the “Layout Settings” panel, you can tap the “Export icon”                 to place a copy of the layout into

the “Exported” folder.  This folder is easily accessible from iTunes file sharing section.  Copy it on your system and handle the layouts as you prefer.

NOTE : phone layouts have the “.cplp” extension while tablet layouts have “.cplt” extension.  You can simply change the extension of layouts to load them in different kind of devices (iPhone / Tablet), beware that layouts coming from another type of device (and mostly screen size) might look terrible....
