Very happy to write that RC Plane 3 Mac version is now available on the AppStore ! Log in with the same account you are using on the iOs version (if you have it) to have all your progress and options automatically sync between your devices.
Enjoy the wide range of supported joystick and deep input customisation options.
While it won’t be free as on iOS for many reasons, the price will be always very low, and if you log in with the same account you are using on iOS and had made in-app purchases, you will be happy to find a nice surprise 🙂  (can’t really advertise this feature nor guarantee it will last forever as it’s sort of in a grey area in the various game related stores available for PC and Mac (App Store included) )
What are the advantages of downloading this via the OS X App Store while I have installed and downloaded it on my Mac by using the older download link which was given before?
We won’t be updating alpha version, so bug fixes, new content etc will be available only on the AppStore version.
Ok
My Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick doesn’t seem to be supported though.
Hi Matt, sorry for the issue. Your joystick should be supported, do you have by any chance more than 1 joystick connected to your mac ? If so, in the input map panel for each input you can select from which joystick among the ones connected the input should be read.

Which are the joystick recommended for this program on the Mac
RCPlane 3 should work fine with every joystick your mac recognised. We support, gamepad style joysticks (xBox controller), flight sticks and RC remotes as long as your mac recognises them as joysticks. Contact us at support@frozenpepper.it for more specific info and eventual help about your case.
