Released · Map-based strategy game for iPad

wwTouch

A comprehensive 3D, map-based strategy game built specifically around the iPad, where up to five players fight for global resource domination.

What's underneath wwTouch: Players: Up to 5 on one iPad. Unit types: 9. AI difficulty levels: 3. Maps: From the whole world to the Americas.

wwTouch (World War Touch) is our take on the modern strategy board game. If you are into immersive strategy games like Axis & Allies, it is exactly what you have been waiting for.

How it plays

Up to five players share the same iPad, building armies and trying to defeat each other. Choose from nine types of armies and weapons to control land, air and sea. The more territories and resources you hold, the more armies, ships and planes you can build, and the more your empire can grow.

Maps range from huge (the entire world) to small (North and South America), with a medium-sized battle in Europe and Africa in between, so a match can be as in-depth or as quick as you have time for. Human and AI players can be mixed, with three levels of AI difficulty to play against.

You play in landscape mode. Turn the iPad to portrait to read the latest news from the war in a newspaper layout, updated every turn, or to browse the full game manual like a book.

Features

  • Up to 5 players on the same iPad
  • 9 unit types to move and attack from land, air and sea
  • Different map sizes for short or long matches
  • 3 levels of AI difficulty, and any mix of human and AI players
  • A full 3D map
  • An in-game newspaper that tells you how the conflict is evolving
  • The full game manual, browsable as a book from within the game

Tips

  • A transport plane comes with two infantry units already on board. Move it to the territory you want to attack and the infantry is delivered into combat, or drop them in a friendly territory to reinforce it.
  • To add AI players, tap the human icon on the game setup screen until it turns into a computer, then tap the stars to set its difficulty.

wwTouch was made in collaboration with iDev2 and Ethervision.
