The studio
Pisa, Italy. Since 2007. Still independent.
FrozenPepper is an independent game and software studio in Pisa, Italy, founded in 2007.
We started at the dawn of mobile gaming, with some of the first radio-controlled flight simulators on the App Store: RC Heli, RC Plane and their sequels. RC Plane 2 went on to reach millions of players around the world, and the RC series grew into RC Plane 3, released on iOS, Mac, Android and Steam.
Along the way we built drone racing, endless procedural roads, air-traffic strategy, puzzle and arcade games, a newspaper app for the Mac, and CCP, a control pad that turns an iPad into an extension of your computer.
What we do today
The common thread has always been the part under the screen: the engine, the rules, the memory. Today that means Greia, an open-source Linux operating system for children; Synthasia, an RPG where a real game engine and large language models work together; and developer tools like Sound Maps for Unity.
Work with us
We put the same experience to work for others: consultancy, custom LLM and agent integrations, and tools development. See our services or write to us.
