We worked on RC Plane 3 and the technology behind it for over three years.
Learn to fly a large selection of RC planes in huge, beautiful scenarios full
of detail. Grab an easy flier to enjoy a majestic sunset over the hills of
Tuscany, or hop in a fast stunt plane to fly through barns and high-voltage
pylons. Practise landings, stunts, wind handling and cow scaring, or compete
on global leaderboards across many challenging game modes.
Features
- Realistic physics that uses real-life stabilisation techniques to help
beginners get into real RC plane flying
- Arcade physics for a slower-paced flight, as in RC Plane 2
- A huge 4×4 mile environment to explore at micro scale
- Realistic FPV and ground camera modes for pros
- A full day and night cycle with real-time lighting
- RC planes and multicopters, with flaps, retractable landing gear and more
- Unlock airstrips across the scenario in free flight
- Up to 6 players online in free flight and team deathmatch
- King of the Week: a chance at global weekly glory

Simulation or Arcade
Switch between Simulation and Arcade from the main menu: every game mode and
plane works in both, and each has its own scoreboards to keep the challenge
fair. In Simulation you choose how much the plane's electronic stabiliser
helps you, and Pro mode is completely unassisted. During a flight, you can
cycle control-rate presets with one button: high rates for stunts, low rates
for takeoff and landing.
Air Combat
Air Combat was new to the RC Plane series: a team deathmatch where two teams
start from different airstrips with a limited number of tickets. Planes carry
a paintball cannon, and you can pick up firework-based homing missiles. Your
team's airstrip has battery, ammo and repair pickups, and anti-RC-aircraft
cannons guard every airstrip, giving you a semi-safe patch of sky to retreat
to.
One account, every platform
RC Plane 3 launched on iOS, then came to Mac, Android and Steam. Your
FrozenPepper account carries your progress, preferences and purchases across
all of them. The Mac and Steam versions support a wide range of joysticks,
with deep input customisation, and the Steam version adds higher-resolution
textures, image effects and anti-aliasing. On Android, a video settings
panel lets you tune performance to your device.
On iOS, RC Plane 3 needs an iPhone 5, iPod touch (6th generation), iPad 4,
iPad mini 2 or a newer device.
